New York State Immigrant Action Fund

The New York State Immigrant Action Fund has already developed report cards for most of the members of Congress representing us in Washington.

Not sure who your Congressperson is? If you click on the map of New York State on the left side of the home page you’ll be taken to a scalable Google map where you can find your location and who represents you.

The report card will tell you how long your representative has been in Congress and how his or her district voted in the last Congressional and Presidential elections. This will let you know how safe the Congressperson’s district is.

If your Representative is on a committee or subcommittee that deals with immigration issues, we note it.

Basic demographic info on the district is provided next so you can know just how large the immigrant community that needs to hold the elected representative accountable really is.

Next, we come to the heart of the report card; an insider’s look at how the official has been representing immigrant issues in Washington. This is followed by comprehensive data on how the Congressperson voted on immigration legislation and what the Representative’s position on pending reform is.

Finally, we will soon give you all the information you need to contact your elected officials in Washington.
